Matthias Hodel

Founder, Manufacturing Engineer

With the solid foundation of a four-year apprenticeship at a medical company in Switzerland and several years of working experience in the medical and aerospace industry, Matthias Hodel moved to Taiwan in 2003 to work for a bicycle component manufacturer heading the CNC department. His passion for process engineering brought him to DMG MORI Taiwan in 2005 as an application engineer for a wide range of machines and in 2006 to DMG MORI China. There he was stationed in Shanghai to work as an application engineer for horizontal machining centers from Deckel Maho Pfronten’s factory. During this time he has engineered and executed numerous turnkey projects in various industries. In 2012 he moved back to Taiwan to work in the same field once again at DMG MORI Taiwan until establishing Squaredone GmbH in 2013 as his own company.
